Summer Snack Favorites

Cool Whether you're headed to the beach, lake or the ballpark be sure to pack some health snacks to satisfy your between meal hunger and plenty of water to quench your thirst. Get your summertime snacking groove on with crunchy apples, berries (blueberries and strawberries), cherries, dried fruit, seedless grapes, fresh apricots and raw almonds. All these fab foods are good travelers and deliver great flavor and nutrition.

SHOPPING TIP: Remember that purchasing produce (fruits and vegetables) when it's in season will give you the best deal, best flavor and optimal taste. (More on this in Food, Field to Fork page 161-162)
